Handprint Plaques

Materials
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
1 cup water
food coloring

Mix the food colouring and water together and then add the flour and salt. Mix thoroughly and knead into a soft dough.

Roll the dough out on a floured surface and then press the childs hand firmly into the dough.

Use a skewer to write the childs name and date into the dough

Bake at 200 degrees for 2 1/2 hours. Make sure it does not burn.

Let the plaque cool and then decorate with paint and glitter.  Seal the plaque with a coat of varnish.
