How to make Playdough

Play Dough Recipe

2 cups of plain flour
4 tablespoons of 'cream of tartar'
2 tablespoons of cooking oil
1 cup of salt
2 cups of boiling water
food colouring

Place all the ingredients into a bowl and thoroughly mix. It may not look like it is going to mix together but keep stirring and then place the mixture onto the bench and knead it until it all comes together.

Add glitter or sand or food colouring to create colours and textures in the playdough.

Add peppermint oil to enhance the smell. 

Have fun with Playdough

Create letters, numbers and different shapes.
Make 2d and 3d objects such as houses, cars and animals.
Find different materials that can be embossed onto the playdough such as lace, leaves, rope.
Create fun expressive faces

or just let your children have a imagnative play time.
